The eastern segment of Colorado Boulevard will be ground zero for zaniness when the 36th Annual Doo Dah Parade takes place on Saturday, April 27, organizers announced this week.
As the self-proclaimed "twisted sister" of the Rose Parade, the "occasional" Doo Dah Parade has made its mark for nearly four decades with off-the-wall floats and personalities ranging from hare krishnas to cross-dressing cheerleaders dominating the city's east side. Last year's Doo Dah parade featured entries like a "moveable feast" and the "Great Firewall of China."
This year's promises entries such as Kinetic Pastry Science Mobile Muffins, a giant feline robot named Boo-Boo Kitty, and a lot of music, including the Doo Dah house band Snotty Scotty & the Hankies.
The fun starts at 11 a.m. on Colorado. For more information, check out the Doo Dah Parade web site.
