Holiday Recipe: Caprese Skewers

With New Year's Eve just days away, surprise your party guests with this easy appetizer.

Christmas may have already come and gone, but New Year's Eve is on the horizon. For a sweet treat that will appease any hungry partygoer, try this simple appetizer.

My mother usually whips up these delicious caprese skewers during the holiday season for guests to munch on before dinner. Not only are they tasty--but they take under 10 minutes to make.

Caprese Skewers
Heirloom cherry tomatoes
Marinated mozzarella balls
Fresh basil
Kosher salt
Fresh ground pepper
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Balsamic Vinegar
Wooden Skewers

Place an heirloom cherry tomato, basil leaf (folded in half) and a mozzarella ball on each skewer. Lightly drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle salt and pepper.
