Make the Most of the Upcoming Weekend

Shake it up with some entertaining activities.

March is out like a lamb, leaving us with a lovely April weekend to enjoy. So what have you got planned? If you’re still searching for something fun to do, check out our list of local events that includes a little something for everyone.

 

1.

Where/When: , Thursday, 3:30-7:30 p.m.

Why Go: Check out this community event featuring student art work, music, poetry, photography and drama. Complimentary refreshments and dinner will be served.

Pricing: Free.

 

2.

Where/When: Fremont Centre Theatre, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m., Sunday at 3 p.m.

Why Go: A humorous White House comedy that imagines the domestic difficulties of a certain President.

Pricing: General admission: $25, Students/Seniors: $20.

 

3.

Where/When: Coffee Gallery Backstage, Friday at 8 p.m.

Why Go: Singer/songwriter Raleigh Holmes leads this popular group.

Pricing: $15; reservations recommended.

 

4.

Where/When: , Saturday, 1-3 p.m.

Why Go: Kids 7-12 learn to create a floral display in a basket while appreciating nature. Fee includes one accompanying adult. And don't forget this is the last weekend to visit the before it closes from April 4 until next year for renovations!

Pricing for flower arranging: Members: $25, non-members: $30.

 

5.

Where/When: Pasadena City College, Sunday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Why Go: Stroll through this enormous flea market, indoors and out, and maybe find a treasure among the clothes, antiques, records and more that are available for sale.

Pricing: Free; $2 to park.
