San Marino Author to Give TV Interview, Betty Ford Center Appearance

San Marino resident C.B. Shiepe, author of acclaimed novel "Cliff Falls," will be interviewed on NBC's Digital Channel on Tuesday night to discuss the book that centers around the effects of fame on child stars.

The momentum for the novel Cliff Falls, written by San Marino’s own C.B. Shiepe, continues to grow as the local author gives a television interview and major Betty Ford Center appearance this week.

Released in 2010, Cliff Falls centers on a former '80s child star who runs into the past he’s spent his life running from.

“I was always interested in how we consume child stars,” Shiepe previously told Patch. “We consume them when they grow up, and we consume them when they mess up.”

At the Betty Ford Center, a desert theater company comprised of members in recovery will present scenes from the novel, something Shiepe told Patch that he is particularly excited about.
