You're Invited: Goodbye Dinner for San Marino Patch Editor Jessica Hamlin

Stop by Jasmine Café and Sweet & Savory on Friday night from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to say goodbye to San Marino Patch Editor Jessica Hamlin, who is transferring on July 2.

After I told co-owner that I am , she kindly offered to host a dinner for me so the community and I could say goodbye and reflect on the past year and a half of my time and coverage in San Marino. She also told me that owner kindly offered to co-host.

I was humbled to say the least and said a hosted goodbye dinner wasn't necessary—I planned to sit in San Marino Courtyard Friday afternoon and invite people to stop by—but Vivian insisted. If there’s one thing I know about Vivian, it’s that she likes being involved in pretty much everything. I don't know when she sleeps. Likewise, Dora seems to help cater most major events in town and always has something in the works.

Vivian has highlighted amazing local kids and teens for our weekly column for over a year, blogs on Patch about the numerous community and charity events she is involved with and was one of the first supporters of San Marino Patch; she has remained one of the strongest and loudest.

So please come on out Friday night to mingle with your neighbors, get some delicious food and say goodbye at Sweet & Savory and Jasmine Cafe from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. I won’t be too far away once I transfer to Sierra Madre, but I won’t be around as much since I'm covering another city as of July 2. Also, I am out of town next week so this is really the time for us all to get together.

I look forward to seeing you Friday night and thank you for all your support!
