LA Opera Talk Presents Another Side to Cinderella

The series continues next week at the Crowell Public Library.

Everyone knows the story of Cinderella, but Gioachino Rossini's warmhearted retelling of this fairytale transforms it into a delightful romantic comedy. LA Opera will bring it to life with dazzling vocal fireworks of an exciting young cast and a production set to come to Los Angeles.

In the meantime, everyone is invited to Crowell Public Library on Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m., when community educator Diane Beltoya will play excerpts and highlight different aspects of the opera. Join the fun and learn about the variants of this particular version of the Cinderella story -- some mice but no bippity, boppity-boo, just to name two.

This event is free and open to the public.
