Make a Thanksgiving Centerpiece at the Huntington

Kids and adults can make their own autumn arrangements using seasonal items at two classes offered at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens this weekend.

Thanksgiving is around the corner and soon you will likely be gathered around a table for a feast with friends and family.

You can make this season of thanks more festive by creating your own autumn decor at the this weekend. Kids can even join in on the fun too.

Childrens Flower Arranging: Blooming Pumpkins
Sat., Nov. 19
1–3 p.m.

Pumpkins will be transformed into flower pots and filled with bouquets of fresh autumn blooms in this creative workshop for kids led by the designing duo from Flower Duet. Ages 7–12. Fee includes one accompanying adult. Members: $25. Non-Members: $30. Registration: 626-405-2128.

Flower Arranging: Autumnal Beauty
Sat., Nov. 19
10 a.m.–noon

Create a distinctive and long-lasting autumn arrangement perfect for the Thanksgiving table by integrating fresh cut flowers with gourds, seed pods, grasses, twigs, and other organic elements. Flower Duet’s Kit Wertz and Casey Schwartz lead this hands-on workshop. Members: $80. Non-Members: $90. Registration: 626-405-2128.
