Convicted Murderer in 'Rockefeller' Case to Represent Himself at Sentencing

Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, aka "Clark Rockefeller," who was convicted of a 1985 murder of a San Marino resident has dismissed his attorney and will represent himself, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter who was convicted in April of killing the son of his San Marino landlord 28 years ago, has dismissed his attorneys and will represent himself at his sentencing, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.

Gerhartsreiter, who has claimed to be a Rockefeller, an English nobleman and a Hollywood producer and who was known as Christopher Chichester at the time of San Marino resident's John Sohus's death in 1985, lived in a guest house on the Sohus property at 1920 Lorain Road.

Sohus's buried remains were uncovered there in May 1994 by an excavation crew preparing to build a swimming pool on the property for a new owner.
