Event: Police & Fire BBQ--Win a Ride in the Police Helicopter

This is the second edition of last year's San Marino Day Out held at the high school and this year it has been combined with the Police and Fire Open House.

In the opening statements Captain Harrigan will provide some and .  This will also serve as an introduction to disaster preparedness.

Chief Frawley will then talk about Disaster Preparedness.

Sergeant Byrd will follow this with a generic explanation of her women's self defense class. Chief Frawley and a CERT Graduate will then talk about . We are working to conclude this with a demonstration of some type where residents and/or FF/PM will demonstrate a rescue technique learned in the CERT class.

There will also be a number of static displays and tables with various community organizations, a free hot dog lunch will be provided by the SMPOA and free kettle corn provided by the SMFFA.

As in years past we will provide free document shredding, something we encourage as a deterent to identity theft, and finally, when the FAST helicopter leaves we will conclude a raffle for a ride on the departing helicopter. An officer will pick the helicopter ride winner up at the Pasadena Aero Bureau and bring them back to the PD or home.
