New Business: Exercise Studio
As Patch reported last month, a vacant store space next to is becoming Pop Physique exercise studio, which uses a ballet barre, Pilates and light weight work to get clients into shape.

Shop Relocation
clothing and accessories store has moved a few doors down from its previous location on Mission Street to its new home at 2491 Mission Street, where Paperwhites used to be located. What do you think of the new location? Tell us in the comments section.

Store Closures
, which started in San Marino in 1954, had its last day of business Friday. Manager Jo Lynn Bolton told Patch that the economy helped contribute to the decision to close the shop, but some custom items will still be available through other stores and online.

, the coffee shop/cafe on Mission Street that served coffee pastries, sandwiches and other items, has had a For Lease sign displayed outside for several weeks. Café de Roma opened at the end of 2010 and had a short life span on Mission, leaving the street without a quick coffee shop option.

Chamber of Commerce Mixer
The San Marino Chamber of Commerce April mixer will be hosted by on April 12 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Business owners and others can eat, mingle and bring business cards, brochures and more to display on a table and promote their business. You can also bring items to contribute to the raffle. Mixer admission is $8 for members and $15 for non-members.

Evening at the Huntington
The annual large food and business event hosted by the San Marino Chamber of Commerce will take place May 17 from 5-7:30 p.m.
“Enjoy the ambiance of the Brown Garden while sampling gourmet fare and fine wine from local area merchants,” said the Chamber. “Live music and fabulous raffle prizes are a highlight of the evening.”
