San Marino Gas Prices Higher Than Area Average

Gas prices have taken a slight dip the past week but are still significantly higher compared to a month or year ago.

Gas prices in the Los Angeles area have dropped about two cents per gallon in the past week but are still 22 cents higher than a month ago, according to Automobile Club of Southern California.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in the Los Angeles area on Wednesday was $3.94, compared to $3.96 one week ago and $3.72 one month ago.

Both gas stations in San Marino are above the area average.

On Wednesday, on Huntington Drive posted $4.19 for a gallon of regular self-serve gas and on Mission Street and Los Robles Avenue posted $3.99 per gallon of regular self-serve gas.

When , Leon’s also charged $3.99 per gallon of regular self-serve gas, though Valero charged $4.09 at the time.

Those looking for cheaper gas nearby can find it at Pasadena Arco stations, such as the one on 3706 E. Foothill Boulevard and North Rosemead Boulevard that charged $3.79 per gallon on Wednesday, according to gasbuddy.com.

Keep in mind that Arco stations tack on a 45-cent fee if you pay with a credit card. Even with the fee, however, 10 gallons of gas at that Arco station would cost $38.35 as opposed to $39.90 at Leon’s in San Marino.
