Tony Shum, a San Marino resident, took second prize in the National Public Gardens Day photo contest, according to an email sent out by a representative of the group.
Shum's photo of San Marino's Lacy Park can be viewed above or at the National Public Garden's Day website.
According to the group's website, the day, which falls on May 10, "is a national day of celebration to raise awareness of America’s public gardens and their important role in promoting environmental stewardship and awareness, plant and water conservation, and education in communities nationwide."
