Who Is the San Marino Person of the Year?

TIME magazine named President Barack Obama their person of the year. Tell us who you think should win from our town!

On Dec. 19, Time magazine named President Barack Obama as their Person of the Year.

“For finding and forging a new majority, for turning weakness into opportunity and for seeking, amid great adversity, to create a more perfect union, Barack Obama is TIME's 2012 Person of the Year,” Time managing editor Richard Stengel explained in his note to readers.

The magazine invited votes on 40 candidates, including Obama, Gabby Douglas and Kim Jong Un. Other options included The Mars Rover and the Higgs Boson Particle.

But who cares about the same-old, same-old? Who is San Marino’s Person of the Year—the man or woman who, in Timespeak, “most influenced the news this year for better or worse?”

Tell us your pick in the comment section below!

Mike Mallory should be the person of the year, he served Troop 359 for the last 2 years as the esteemed Scoutmaster and did with much enthusiasm in working with the boys and the parents, he served on our committee and worked diligently with the committee to run the newest troop in San Marino. He is a hard working individual with a lot of dedication to boys and boy scouts.
