Dazzling Designs

“Dazzling Designs” is the theme of the third event of the 2012 San Marino Celebrity Series.  It features a  luncheon and fashion show presented by Margie’s Apparel and Accessories of San Marino.

Margie Lowe-Francis opened her popular boutique 21 years ago.  While trained as a school teacher, her success in modeling, merchandising, and as a buyer led to her career in the fashion industry.  Her daughter, Elizabeth Saldebar, with an interior design and modeling background, has now joined the business.

As locals know, Margie’s is the spot to find eye-catching, unique, and designer items.  For example, there might be an unusual necklace created by a favorite artisan or a one-of-a- kind hand painted silk jacket in gorgeous sunset tones.

The style show will feature the bright, fun colors of spring such as a bold tangerine, a luscious mint green, a simmering hot pink, or a tantalizing turquoise.  These cheerful colors may appear in bold blocks, stripes galore, as a pop of color with black or white, as a neon accessory, or in whimsical patterns.

Elizabeth describes her mother’s fashion talent as “being great at creating the whole picture to make each lady look her best.” Both Margie and Elizabeth treasure the community relationships they have built.
