Planned Parenthood Carnival-themed Benefit

Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley holds a festive Venetian Carnival themed Fall Benefit on Sunday, October 2, featuring a four-course Italian menu, specialty cocktails and a selection of Italian wines.

Carnevale celebrates the 78th anniversary of Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley as well as the completion of the Pasadena Health Center renovation. Patron Chair, Joan Caillouette, describes the renovation and expansion of the Pasadena Health Center as "a huge step forward as Planned Parenthood continues growing to meet the needs of our community. This is truly an inspiring time to be involved, and truly a reason for celebration."

The Fall Benefit is one of two major annual fundraisers for the organization, which has been providing access to comprehensive reproductive health care services and education to the community since 1933. Planned Parenthood provides broad access to life-saving cancer screenings, birth control and sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment to the women, men and families of a service area stretching from Glendale to Glendora. The population of the San Gabriel Valley has exploded in recent years to nearly 2 million people, and with the incredible downturn in the economy, Planned Parenthood remains a place where everyone is welcome—regardless of their ability to pay. Currently over 90% of their clients do not have health insurance.
