Ferraco, Titans too much for Nogales in 70-0 rout

LA PUENTE – Andrew Ferraco accounted for five touchdowns as the San Marino Titans easily dispatched the host Nogales Nobles 70-0 in the final preseason tune up for both teams Friday evening.

Ferraco finished with 206 yards on 12 carries and five touchdowns, all in the first half which saw the Titans take a commanding 56-0 halftime lead.

Tenny McFarlarie added 82 yards on nine carries and two scores, the last one coming in the fourth quarter when the game has long been decided.

Ferraco and company went to work immediately as the Titans marched down the field culminating on a 1-yard by Ferraco.

Nogales would then fumble the ensuing kickoff, giving San Marino possession deep in Nogales’s territory.

San Marino capitalized on the opportunity, an 18- yard run by McFarlarie.

The Titans forced  another turnover by Nogales, an interception by Tyler Spitzer who returned it 25 yards for the score.

Ferraco added runs of 42 yards and 49 yards to complete the halftime scoring barrage.

Nogales couldn’t get anything going as their turnovers on successive possessions helped the Titans build its huge halftime lead.
