How Green is San Marino Compared to the Rest of the San Gabriel Valley?

The Pasadena Star-News compares San Gabriel Valley cities by how green they are.

Chief among San Marino's achievements as a green city are its three hybrids, its computerized irrigation system and its grass dividers on Huntington Drive, according to a Pasadena Star-News interview with the city's environmental services manager.

The article details various biking plans, hybrid fleets and more green initiatives that are being taken in the San Gabriel Valley.

While the article suggests San Marino "isn't part of the biking movement," the city did have a two week bike to school challenge for students that it tried out in May 2012, as well as a known safe and scenic bike route in the vicinity of the Huntington Library.

Do you think San Marino qualifies as a "green" city?  Tell us why or why not in the comments.
