San Marino Resident Gets Hall of Fame Honor

Andrew Bernstein will be inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum for his near three decades of work photographing NBA players.

Press Release:

Andrew Bernstein, San Marino resident and Sr. Director of NBA Photos, will be inducted into the National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum on April 21, 2013. Andrew has served as the official photographer for the NBA since 1986.

Bernstein's work frequently appears in magazines like "Sports Illustrated," "The Sporting News," "Newsweek," "ESPN The Magazine" and more.

In an unprecedented collaboration, Bernstein's current book, "Journey to the Ring," pairs him with Phil Jackson, the NBA's most successful coach, for a behind-the-schenes re-creation of the LA Lakers 2009-10 championship season.

The National Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and Museum is dedicated to honoring Jewish athletes, coaches, executives and others who have distinguished themselves in the world of sports. Each year those persons being inducted are honored in a ceremony held at the Suffolk Y JCC in Commack, NY, the home of the Hall of Fame.
