Arcadia Pastor Has Connection to Dorner Manhunt

The school will remain closed until at least Wednesday, officials say.

Arcadia's Holy Angels School is closed because the church's pastor is related to a person named in the rambling manifesto of an ex-LAPD officer accused of going on a revenge killing spree.

Father Michael Evans told his congregation that he plans to stay away from the school and Holy Angels parish until the manhunt for Christopher Jordan Dorner ends.

The search now spans Southern California.

"As a safety measure for our community I have asked to have an increased police presence for our campus," Evans said in an e-mail to his congregation obtained by the Pasadena Star-News.

The school will likely remain closed until at least Wednesday, the newspaper reported, and associate pastor Rev. Blaise Brockman will take over for Evans for the time being.
