Coroner Seeks Public's Help in I.D.'ing John Doe Found in San Gabriel Parking Lot

The unidentified Asian man was found in the San Gabriel Superstore parking lot on Dec. 3, then died about two weeks later.

The coroner's office today asked for the public's help in identifying a man only referred to as John Doe 262, who was found in a San Gabriel parking lot and died about two weeks later at San Gabriel Medical Center.

The Asian man, believed to be at least 60 years, was found unresponsive at 11:50 p.m. Dec. 3 in the parking lot of the San Gabriel Superstore at 1635 S. San Gabriel Blvd., according to Craig Harvey of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.

He was taken to San Gabriel Medical Center, where he died Dec. 17.

The man was about 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighed about 140 pounds. He had black/gray hair and brown eyes, a mustache and a goatee. He had his own lower teeth but no teeth or dentures on the top of his mouth. No wallet or identification papers were found.

He wore no jewelry and had no scars or tattoos.
