Halloween Hell in Bungalow Heaven: 20 Years After 3 Boys Were Murdered Trick-or-Treating in Pasadena

Do you remember the Halloween Massacre?

It is known as the Halloween Massacre.

On Oct. 31, 1993, three boys were shot to death and another three injured while they were out trick-or-treating in the Bungalow Heaven neighborhood in Pasadena. It was a gang-related shooting, but the victims were not in a gang. The boys, ages 13 and 14, were merely in the wrong place at the wrong time, the victims of mistaken identity in a retaliation shooting.

The shootings shocked the city, and the nation, and much has changed in Pasadena, which averaged around 20 killings a year in the early 90s but only a handful the last few years.
