Visitor from Taiwan has not returned from morning walk, police said.

UPDATED, 8:51 p.m.: The missing woman was found safe and sound, according to Sergeant Paula Byrd of San Marino Police.

"She's found. She's unharmed. Just a little confused as to remember where she lived," Byrd said in a voice mail message left to Patch. Authorities could not be immediately reached to elaborate on other details, specifically, the time and location the woman was found.

PREVIOUSLY: Police are seeking the public's help in locating a critical missing woman who has been gone for nearly eight hours.

The woman is a visitor from Taiwan and is here to see her daughter, said Sergeant Paula Byrd of San Marino Police. The woman went out for a morning walk at 8:30 a.m. and still has not returned. She does not speak any English and is largely unfamiliar with the area.

"She's been here for a few days and she's used to going for walks and she's gone for walks for the last couple of days," Byrd said.

The woman is 63 years old, about 5 feet tall, 130 pounds, has black hair, brown eyes and was last seen wearing a gray coat, red long-sleeve shirt, black pants and white shoes. Over the last few days the missing woman frequented the areas of Winston Avenue, East California Blvd. and Huntington Drive, Byrd said.

Officers have been combing the area and have visited area hospitals to find the woman.

Anyone with information is asked to call the San Marino Police Department at (626) 300-0720.
