San Marino Unified Receives Bomb Threat on Monday

The threat was received via email, but after a thorough search of all schools, no bomb was found, according to police.

The San Marino Unified School District received a bomb threat via email on Monday, but after a thorough search of all facilities, nothing was found, according to Lt. Paula Byrd of the San Marino Police Department.

The bomb threat was first reported Monday morning by the KNX 1070 radio station, which described it as being centered on San Marino High.  A parent told the station that they pulled up and found summer school closed because of the threat.

Byrd told Patch that the threat did not specify a school - all schools and the district headquarters were checked and cleared Monday morning over a three-and-a-half hour period.

As of Monday afternoon, summer school is back in session, she added.
