Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department Searching for Missing San Marino Man

55-year-old Kurt Brimberry, of San Marino, went missing after a car crash on Saturday, according to the Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department.

The Santa County Barbara Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing San Marino man who disappeared after a car crash in the Santa Ynez Valley on Saturday.

According to a story in a local paper, the Lompoc Record, the missing man,55-year-old Kurt Brimberry, is a resident of San Marino.

Deputies believe Brimberry was the driver of a silver 2003 Mercedez Benz SUV that was involved in a collision with a tree near the Alisal Guest Ranch on Saturday, according to a release from the department.

A passerby reported seeing a man matching Brimberry's description walking towards the resort shortly after the accident, according to the release.

Brimberry was not found at local hotels or the hospital, and a search of the area revealed no leads, according to the department.  His cell phone was found on the seat of the car that was wrecked.

Brimberry was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light blue polo shirt and Topsider deck shoes and is about 6 feet tall, 210 pounds, with blond hair, blue eyes, and fair skin.  Anyone with information should call the Sheriff's Department Dispatch center at (805) 683-2724.
