SCE Site Estimates Saturday Night Power Restoration

Over 100,000 Southern California Edison customers have had power restored, the utility tweeted Friday morning, but 140,000 are still without power, including many in San Marino.

Southern California Edison estimated Thursday some homes in San Marino could have power restored by Friday morning, according to the Outage Center section on their website, .

City manager Matt Ballantyne also confirmed the Friday estimate to Patch Thursday.

However, an update on SCE's site dated Friday at 8:47 a.m. said the following about San Marino's wide spread power outage:

"Based on our initial assessment, it is possible that some customers in this outage may be off until Saturday Late Evening."

Patch called Southern California Edison around 9:40 a.m. Friday for an estimate as to when all San Marino residents will have power restored and was not able to immediately reach someone who could comment. Patch will continue to look into approximately when power will be restored.
