SMPD Blotter: DUI, Burglary Chase, Youths Arrested

A burglary suspect pursuit, DUI, drug arrest, credit card fraud and more happened in San Marino over the past week.

The following incidents took place between April 12 and April 18 and were selected from the San Marino Police Department log.

April 12

5:02 p.m.         A suspicious person was reported at Bellwood Road and Huntington Drive. A petty theft report was taken.

5:56 p.m.         A vandalism report was taken in the 500 block of La Paz Drive for plants and cacti that were pulled out of the ground.

11:06 p.m.       Officers responded to a report of a prowler in the 1300 block of Avonrea Road. They were unable to locate anyone.

April 14

3:37 p.m.         Two juveniles were reported missing from Valentine School. After a search of several locations the juveniles were located in Temple City and returned home.

April 15

10:49 a.m.       A resident in the 900 block of Avondale Road came home and found their house burglarized. They had noticed two male Hispanics get into a black Chevy. An alert neighbor had written down the license number which showed the vehicle belonged to a rental agency and led to the arrest of a suspect. .

5:39 p.m.         A grand theft report was taken in the 2700 block of Huntington Drive for a stolen computer.

 April 16

1:58 p.m.         Battery was reported in the 1700 block of Huntington Drive and resulted in a private person arrest of a female.

April 17

12:10 a.m.       A suspicious occupied vehicle reported in the 1800 block of Alpine Drive resulted in the arrest of two juveniles who were released to their parents.

April 18

12:44 p.m.       A grand theft report was taken in the 2100 block of California Blvd. for fraudulent purchases made on a credit card.

3:31 p.m.         San Marino Officers assisted South Pasadena Police with a suspect in an apartment with weapons at Huntington Drive and La Senda Place. The suspect was arrested.

4:12 p.m.         Officers received a call that juveniles were smoking marijuana in the 1900 block of Sherwood Road. One juvenile was arrested.

9:01 p.m.         A traffic collision occurred in the 2100 block of Adair Street. A female was arrested for driving under the influence.
