SMPD Blotter: Man Attempts to Burglarize Occupied Home, Thefts, DA Arrest

The following crimes occurred in San Marino recently. Patch is following up with the for more details on certain incidents.

SMPD Lieutenant Steve Johnson said Thursday morning that the most recent notable crime was an attempted burglary Wednesday night in which a resident saw a man through glass at the home and later called the SMPD. No loss was reported except for broken glass. Johnson is finding out more details about the crime, including the location.

Theft

Sept. 1
700 block of La Mirada Avenue
10:07 a.m.           
A grand theft report was taken for a laptop and other item stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Aug. 30
2300 block of Brentford Road
6:36 p.m.           
A grand theft report was taken for cash and checks stolen from a vehicle.

Aug. 31
1500 block of Wilson Avenue
4:30 p.m.           
A petty theft report was taken for batteries stolen from a cable box.

A petty theft report was taken for a battery stolen from a cable box.

Area of Virginia Road and Encino Drive
10:32 a.m.           
A petty theft report was taken for a stolen battery.

Arrest

8:25 a.m.           
Officers assisted the District Attorney Officers making a warrant arrest.
