UPDATE, Oct. 21, 1:37 a.m.: The teen-aged bicyclist injured in a collision Saturday night was attempting to make a turn while traveling south on Santa Anita Avenue.
The teen was in the No. 1 left turn lane attempting to turn onto Duarte Road. He did not complete the turn and pulled out in front of a vehicle traveling in the same lane. The vehicle struck him, according to Arcadia Police in a press release.
The boy suffered extensive head injuries in the accident, though the 26-year-old Arcadia resident behind the wheel of the vehicle was not injured.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call Arcadia Police at (626) 574-5150.
PREVIOUSLY: A car struck a 16-year-old Arcadia boy just before 10 p.m. on Saturday, police said.
The teen suffered pretty extensive injuries. He was rushed to Huntington Memorial Trauma Center. Lt. Mike Castro of Arcadia Police said investigators have not yet determined what caused the accident.
Police are trying to secure the scene of the crash, Castro said.
