City Officials Write Love Notes for Cancer Patients (PHOTOS)

San Marino officials for the city, police and fire department are participating in this year's Love Notes program, which encourages the community to send Valentines to cancer patients. See how you can get involved.

Cancer patients can always use more love and what better way to show it than writing them a note for Valentine’s Day?

We , who started the in order to do just that. Now more members of the community are getting involved too.

City Manager Matt Ballantyne, and have filled out “Love Notes”—little notes of encouragement that will be delivered to Huntington Memorial Hospital on Valentine’s Day. See photos of the city officials attached to this article.

If you want to send a Love Note or even a few, it’s simple! You can either:

  • Make or fill out a Love Note at the Patch-hosted Love Note event at on Tuesday Feb. 7 from 3-6:30 p.m. It’s free and materials are provided.
  • Fill out a pre-made Love Note or make your own and mail it or drop it off to in San Marino by the deadline.
