San Marino Places Fifith in Pacific League Golf Meet

Arcadia placed first and San Marino placed fifth in the second golf meet of the season.

The Arcadia High girls’ golf team remained unbeaten in the Pacific League Monday as the Apaches won the league’s second golf meet at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena.

Arcadia scored 196 on the nine-hole course. Burroughs High of Burbank was second by shooting 211.

Crescenta Valley finished third by shooting 214. La Cañada finished fourth shooting 219, followed by in fifth at 233. Burbank High was sixth shooting 244.

Four players shared low medalist honors, including Katherine Guo and Kayla Yn of Arcadia and Jennifer Kim of La Canada, who all shot 37.

Also for Arcadia were Michelle Cheung (38), Bianca Picasso (41), Gwen Vahey (43) and Mikaela Santos (45).

CV was led by Jocelyn Chia’s 38. Also for the Falcons were Audrey Chung (39), Alice Yoon and Yoo Jin Lee who both shot 45. Deborah Chin and Amy Park each shot 47.

For La Canada, Melisso Leo shot 41 and was followed by Keile Bessho (46), Mary Lo (47), Shannon Lee (48) and Caitlin Perry (55).

San Marino was led by Carol Young’s 40, followed by Camille Wang (44), Tiffany Gu (46), Caroline Van Hiel (48), Chanica Veranunt (55) and Winnie Wang (57).
