This week's Whiz Kid, Alexis Marie French, is one talented young lady. Between splitting her time amongst her various activities--, musical and dramatic productions, sports, and academics--she still finds time to explore her own interests and expand her imagination through literature.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness:
The key to Alexis' awesomeness is how multi-faceted she is. Most of us struggle our whole lives to become masters of one thing. Whether it's a sport, a musical instrument, or another hobby, we spend time practicing and trying and even lose our passion for that activity after years and years of long work. For Alexis though, some things seem to just come naturally.
Alexis has been in two school productions for the musicals Seussical the Musical and Guys and Dolls and hopes to continue performing. To her, the production is more than just a time to explore her own interests or spend time with friends, but an opportunity to become someone else if just for a moment. Through the creation of the character, she feels accomplished, and also discovers little things about herself through her journey on stage.
What's more amazing about Alexis is her giving and charitable spirit. As a Girl Scout currently developing a plan for her Silver Award, Alexis sees the Girl Scouts as not just an opportunity to spend time with friends or like her sister Arianna, but an opportunity to give back to the community that continues to support her.
Parents
Alexis's dad, located in Huntington Beach. Alexis's mother, Diane Comi, is an attorney and adjunct professor. Alexis has three dogs: Paige, Pugsley, and Patch.
