SMNLL Juniors Baseball All-Stars Win District 17 Championship

San Marino National Little League Junior Baseball All-Stars move on to the Section 2 tournament after a win on Saturday.

San Marino National Little League Junior Baseball All-Stars clutched District 17 Championship victory for the seventh straight year when they defeated Pasadena Central Little League 7-2 on Saturday.

"Behind the lights out pitching of ace, Miles Glazier, the San Marino All-Stars bounded back anchored by stellar defense by right fielder Hunter Kral, first baseman Justin Hill, shortstop Tyler Spitzer, and second baseman Nathan Jen," SMNLL President Guy Glazier told Patch on Tuesday. "Trailing 1-0 for much of the game, the San Marino offense came alive in the last two innings with huge key hits and fantastic base running by Kral, Glazier, Matthew Bayle, Augustino Maese, Chip Crowley, and Mark Wicke."

The SMNLL team now advances to the Section 2 tournament in Tehachapi. The tournament begins at 10 a.m. on July 16 and continues on July 17.
