Weekly San Marino High Sports Recap

Here's a recent recap of sports at San Marino High School.

For all returning Men's Water Polo players: Summer Water Polo begins on Monday, June 10th. For more details, contact Coach Terence Tsai at titanwpc2012@gmail.com.

Boys Tennis: San Marino Boys Tennis team faced off with Palm Desert High School and defeated the team in the finals becoming CIF 2013 Tennis Champions! 

Track & Field: The Track team had an unbelievable 1st round for the CIF playoffs. In the first round the boys and girls placed a spot for the relay race but unfortunately did not make it to the top nine. Pole Vaulter Anya Kwan, also placed for the first round competition but fell short. Anya Kwan, had set a record for Pole Vaulting during the regular season. Alissa Barraza won her heat in the last round and advanced to the finals on 5/18. 

Softball: The Titan Softball team made it to the CIF Playoff Wild Card which they faced Ventura High School and defeated them 3-0. They continued their competition with South El Monte High on the 2nd round but lost 2-0. 

Boys Golf: The Boys golf team continued their battle in the Individual Regionals Qualifier. Titans worked hard and played hard. At the end Ben Allen was the first male golfer to qualify in over 12 years and will compete in the CIF Regionals Individual Finals on May 20. 

Baseball: The Boys Varsity Baseball Team are in the First Round of CIF Playoff Wild Card. There first game will be against Oaks Christian High School. 

Kudos to all Spring Sports: Boys Tennis, Track & Field, Softball, Boys Golf, Baseball, Boys Volleyball, Boys & Girls Swimming, and Badminton for making it all to the CIF Playoffs. Spring Sports has set a 2013 record for qualifying in the Playoffs!
