Patch Blog: The Chinese Club of San Marino Says 'Xiè Xiè' to the Woods Family

A sincere thanks and reflection to outgoing SMUSD Superintendent Dr. Gary Woods from some of our local elected officials and community leaders.

Outgoing SMUSD Superintendent Dr. Gary Woods, Blanca, and their son Seve were the honorary guests of the Chinese School and on June 17th at a Chinese restaurant in San Gabriel.

"Over the past four years of his job as Superintendent, what he cherished most was the friendships he earned from the people of San Marino...he will only be 40 minutes away...he will be in touch."

"I'll miss all my friends here." Blanca Woods was all choked up with tears when she gave thanks to the Chinese Club. "When I arrived here in the beginning, our family didn't know what to expect." Blanca said the Chinese Club made her feel welcome and she instantly felt like she was home already.
