Melissa Mills, Neighbor

Melissa Mills, a Chicago native,  enjoys all kinds of storytelling including poetry, screenwriting, and most recently, blogging at Where My Heart Wants To Go. When not writing for San Marino Patch, Melissa coordinates programs and events at the Community Center of La Canada Flintridge as the Assistant Program Director.  Melissa also works with a wide array of non-profit organizations as a communications consultant in marketing and PR. Since graduating from USC's School of Cinematic Arts, Melissa has worked in Hollywood as a story producer, writers' assistant, and talent/casting coordinator on sitcoms, single camera pilots, and reality shows for ABC/Disney, Fox, CBS, CW, and Touchstone Television.  Extremely passionate about partnering with people to advocate on behalf of victims of injustice, Melissa spends her free time doing her part to end modern day slavery and human trafficking. She is very excited to be part of the Patch team and is excited to tell the story of San Marino and its residents!
