Artwork by East L.A.’s Torres High Students Unveiled at The Huntington

Dynamic, life-size artworks by students at Esteban E. Torres High School, resulting from an innovative partnership between The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens and the East L.A. high school were unveiled at an art opening at The Huntington on Tuesday.

The display of the high school students’ work mark the culmination of the collaboration, one of a series of activities The Huntington and Torres are doing through their “2nd Campus” program. The students’ work, which adorns some 1,000 feet of construction fence at The Huntington, will be on display over the next 18 months during construction of the institution’s new Education and Visitor Center.

The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens is a collections-based research and educational institution serving scholars and the general public. More information about The Huntington can be found online at huntington.org.
