Documentary film "Hand In Hand"

Hand-in-Hand  tells the story of the democracy movement in Taiwan primarily through the sixty year relationship between democracy activists Tien Meng-shu and Tien Chao-ming.  Directed by Juang Yi-tzeng and Yen Lan-chuan, the film melds the personal and the political, bringing the country’s past to life through the stories of individuals who lived through it. The film stars Tien Meng-shu Tien Chao-ming and Tien Chiu-chin. The running time is 140 minutes, with dialog spoken in Hoklo, Mandarin and Japanese with Chinese and English subtitles.

Crowell Public Library thanks the Taiwanese United Fund (TUF), a non-profit organization dedicated to culture and performing arts, and Dr. Jerry C. Liu for bringing Hand In Hand to library patrons.
