Helen Rosker Hartley: Once a San Marino resident, she was the first in her family to attend college, graduating with high honors from the University of Nebraska. Passed away Jan. 29. She was 96.

Walter Psaila: A longtime San Marino resident, he graduated from the London School of Economics, pursued a long and fulfilling career in banking in both London and Los Angeles. Passed away Feb. 14. He was 82.

Ann Colyer Rook: The youngest of three children, she grew up in San Marino and attended Polytechnic School in Pasadena and later Spence School in New York City. Passed away Nov. 30. She was 92.

Sammie Kay Skatvold: A San Marino resident, she received both her undergraduate degree and Masters in Education at USC and went on to be a devoted teacher to the hearing impaired. Passed away Jan. 15. She was 74. 

Janice E. Whitesell: As a longtime Alhambra resident, she was an active member of San Marino Community Church. Passed away on Feb. 7. She was 92.
