Alhambra Mayor and Former Assembly Candidate Endorses Ed Chau for Assembly
Alhambra Mayor Luis Ayala dropped out of the race for a state assembly seat that represents San Marino, Arcadia and other SGV cities, but is now endorsing fellow Democrat Ed Chau.
The field of candidates to represent the 49th state assembly district has thinned more recently, between and , citing he needs to spend more time with his family.
Ayala is now one of the latest officials to endorse former competitor for the state assembly seat. Ayala announced his endorsement at an event Friday, Chau's campiagn announced.
The newly drawn 49th state assembly district includes San Gabriel Valley cities like San Marino and Arcadia.
