City Council to Hold Special Meeting Wednesday

The San Marino City Council will discuss City general employee contracts at a special meeting Wednesday night.

Before the San Marino City Council’s regular meeting Wednesday night, the City Council will convene at 5 p.m. at City Hall to discuss the contracts of about two dozen city employees.

Though the actual discussion will take place in closed session, the public can comment before the council, City Manager Matt Ballantyne and San Marino City Employees’ Association depart for private negotiations. The Council will then re-convene in chambers before the public but will likely not have anything to report, Ballantyne told Patch, since a final decision is not expected Wednesday night.

“If they agree on terms the contract will be on a future [City Council meeting] agenda,” said Ballantyne.
