Community Invited to Celebrate the Year of the Snake this Saturday

The Chinese School of San Marino will be hosting the carnival celebration from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Huntington Middle School.

The Chinese School of San Marino is delighted to invite the community to its annual Lunar New Year Carnival celebration on Saturday, Feb. 2.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Huntington Middle School lunch court, at 1700 Huntington Dr.

"We will be celebrating the Year of the Snake with exciting performances, games & prizes, and food & drinks," said Angeline Chow, Chinese School PTA President. "In celebration of the new lunar year, beautiful flower arrangements, regarded as auspicious, will also be available for purchase.

The Chinese School Lunar New Year Festival is now part of the San Marino Centennial Events, according to Chow.

The Lunar New Year Carnival is the largest Chinese School PTA fundraiser, and all proceeds from this event will help benefit the school's students in furthering their learning of the Chinese language and culture.
