Whiz Kids: 'Symphony in the Sky' Rebecca Morris & Leslie Chae

Whiz Kid's Name: Rebecca Morris & Leslie Chae

Whiz Kid's Age:  17 years      

Whiz Kid's School:  Senior

Whiz Kid's Accomplishment:  Leslie Chae plays the violin and is the concert mistress and Rebecca Morris plays the viola for the San Marino High School orchestra. They both participated in the on April 5. The Orchestra received "The Best of Britain Award" and the Wind Ensemble received the "Silver Award."

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness:  What made them awesome is on their return flight from London, when the flight attendants found out they had a youth orchestra on board the plane, they invited them to perform for their passengers. The two young talented musicians serenaded everyone with several of their classical music pieces and wowed the audience in the sky. To show their appreciation and at the suggestion of our , the flight attendants upgraded the two young ladies to first class at the remainder of the flight. It is truth that the sound of music has its place for people to appreicate regradless of the altitude.
