Cultivating the Next Generation of Asian Pacific American Leaders

San Marino welcomes Chiling Tong, CEO of International Leadership Foundation from Washington D.C.

Chiling Tong, CEO and founding president of International Leadership Foundation (ILF) base in Washington DC, played a visit to San Marino on June 18th to meet with some new members of the ILF National Advisory Committee in the West Coast.

The ILF is a non-profit organization that promotes the civic awareness, public service, and economic effectiveness of the Asian Pacific American (APA) community. Its mission is to develop young leaders in the US and other Pacific Rim countries in the fields of public service, entrepreneurship, and the international arena through a network of business and community leaders.

The Washington D.C. Civic Fellowship is the nation's most prestigious civic leadership development program designed specifically to foster the next generation of APA leaders. This summer, the ILF will be providing scholarships for 5o select APA college students from across the country to take part in the fellowship program. Each student participates in a supervised training program, including a public services internship training and regular seminars, to learn how to access government and public policy to help the community. This year ILF will have one spot at the White House's internship - Deanne Chen will be spending her summer at the White House.
