Paving A Successful Pathway from High School to College, Career and Beyond...

12-7-13 As the Chair for the PCC APPI outreach event of "Paving A Successful Pathway" from high school to college, career and beyond...the TEAM included members of AAPI committee and the wonderful staff of PCC are grateful that the event was well attended. Consider the cold weather and raining, we have well over 100 students and parents show up to learn about the various options of higher education. For the incoming freshman the PCC's Pathways program with Guaranteed Classes for Transfer, mapping a global education experience for today's job market and how to pay for college....these are the essential information for any high school senior and their family. Even with a seasoned mother with 3 graduated college kids, I still learn new information that is helpful for my baby girl who is a junior in high school.

I like the the opening remark by the president of PCC Dr. Rocha - "PCC host many of these type of outreach events with the goal to serve the students, help them to better understand the many options so they could make a sound decision for the next phrase of higher education, regardless they enroll to PCC or not, the important part is to be HELPFUL..."

With the positive comments from the attendees at the end of the session, I think PCC did just that, thank You for all the great efforts!
