12-8-13 conducted the second session of the "Joyful Living / Happy Life 「樂活人生」" speaker series along with Beckie Lei, Rosa Zee (both are past presidents of SMUSD) and Ivy Sun.
The Speaker Series are in collaboration with United Charity Foundation which organize speakers and handle all the logistic.
The San Marino Crowell Public Library inaugural this mandarin language program this past April as part of the centennial celebration to serve our city's diversity dwellers.

Everyone encounters daily challenges that can result in either positive or negative stress. Coping with them gracefully, calmly and intelligently is the ultimate goal of this new Sunday series at Crowell Public Library started April 2013. When talking about a joyful life, there many theories and principles to learn, but this series of workshops promises to be practical and workable. The workshops will offer tools to face the challenges of parenting, skills in emotional intelligence, communication, healthy eating, the ancient art of peaceful living, social etiquette, as well as problem solving skills. All participants will learn the know-how of a healthy lifestyle, achieving a happy, joyful and productive life.

Today's topic was "Upgrades Are Not Just for iPhone" - Come for a free download of the latest version of E.Q. iOS7 (Identify Opportunities and Solutions via 7 steps) to improve you people skills. We almost have a full house, the Q & A session was most entertaining for both the presenters and the guests.

The last session will be on 1-11-14 and all are welcome.
The topic "Being a Peacemaker" - Conflict does not need to be toxic, if you learn to remedy misunderstanding and disappointment with effective communication and collaboration. With practices, conflict can actually leads to intimacy.
